Elec Ski Showcased the SM1 at Skinnovation 2025
In March 2025, Elec Ski debuted at the Skinnovation Festival — a leading European startup event focused on innovation, held in Innsbruck and the surrounding alpine region.

Skinnovation provided the perfect platform for us to publicly unveil the Ski More 1 (SM1), our modular electronic ski touring system.Following the recent filing of our patent, the event marked the first live demonstration of the SM1, a clip-on electric assist unit designed to make ski touring more accessible. The SM1 is built to reduce the physical strain of skinning uphill, allowing users to enjoy the descent without exhaustion. Whether you're looking to ski longer distances, tackle more terrain, or simply help a less-fit friend keep up, Elec Ski is building a system that adapts to real-world touring needs.

Positive Feedback for Our Modular, Travel-Ready Design
During the Startup Fair on the summit, Elec Ski maintained a stand throughout Friday and engaged with skiers, investors, and fellow founders. We were thrilled to hear positive reactions to our modular approach — especially the fact that you can use your own ski touring skis and don't need to buy a completely new setup. The airline-compliant battery system also drew interest, as it enables global travel without the usual power limitations.Our presence even earned a feature in Trending Topics, highlighting Elec Ski as one of seven startups bringing innovation to the slopes.

Networking and Innovative Ideas
At Skinnovation 2025, we connected with exciting startups like Bischof Snowboards, MISS, Qwicklane, Boot Eagle, HyperForm and Zoa Engineering. From skins-free skis to electronic bindings and innovative snowboard gear, the event was a great space to share ideas and explore potential collaborations.

Pitching in a Ski Lift & What’s Next
We also took part in the early-stage pitch competition — presenting Elec Ski inside a gondola as we climbed the mountain! While we didn’t win the competition, it led to valuable conversations with potential investors and sparked new partnerships.
